Simple Watercolor Lilac
Feb 09, 2024This simple beginner friendly lilac watercolor painting is a great way to get started in painting watercolor florals. If you are new to floral watercolor painting, or looking for an easy ten minute painting to get your creativity flowing, this tutorial is a great start!
Here are my supplies
- Princeton Neptune round brush number 4 (any round brush will do, and a larger one will work if it comes to a fine point for detail)
- cobalt blue, alizarin crimson (or rose madder), violet, perylene green, sap green (or mix your blue and a warm yellow for a nice olive green). Burnt sienna or any shade of brown for the stem. My paint brands are typically Winsor and Newton and Holbein. And you can use a different shade of blue too, I just love my cobalt blue so much :-)
- 140lb cold press watercolor paper ( I use Arches)
